Breastfeeding difficulties may lead to dehydration in infants

According to this article breastfeeding difficulties may lead to dehydration in infants. The main time of risk is in the first week after birth, when mothers (especially first time moms) may not physically product enough breast milk, and have difficulty or experience discomfort when breastfeeding. A breast pump may help with stimulating the supply of milk, and also may be more comforatable for mom during the early days.
